February is not just for Valentine’s Day, it’s for Winter Walk Day, Pink Shirt Day and I Read Canadian Day! Wow, so many things to do!

The February B.A.S.E. EcoKid Challenge is to snap a winter wonderland selfie, or a picture of something interesting found on a winter stroll. What fun to enjoy the great wintery outdoors with friends!

• Bonus “points” if students send in winter-themed riddles or jokes along with their photos! The funniest or most clever will be published in the Touching BASE on Daycare Matters newspaper! Submissions are due before March break! 
• Extra bonus “points” if students are wearing something pink in their pics!

There are plenty of joke and riddle books for inspiration in your school libraries. Don’t forget to use those homonyms and homophones to make your submissions as clever as can be!
