Calling all B.A.S.E. Daycare students! It’s time to don your capes and create your very own EcoKid Superhero!

This October, challenge yourself to create your EcoKid Action figure out of recycled objects (or even food scraps like corn husks!) or a poster or comic of an environmental superhero, such as an “Ugly Food” superhero!

You have until November 1st to complete your challenge! Send in a picture of your action figure or send in your poster or comic via EMSB’s internal mail to B.A.S.E. Daycare Media Advisor, Johanna Donovan! You may see your creation in the Touching B.A.S.E. Newspaper and/or on B.A.S.E. Social Media!

Use the CEC Food Matters Action Kit! to help you in your quest! Activity 2, “Just Food,” shows you how to make a corn husk superhero doll and Activity 3, “Celebrating ‘Ugly Food,'” guides you in creating an ugly fruit or vegetable superhero poster or comic!
