This year Michelangelo International Elementary School celebrated National Child Day on November 20th by participating in the Equitas Annual Postcard to Parliament Campaign that gives children an opportunity to share their ideas with the Prime Minister of Canada. The children wrote a message and illustrated the cards to express children’s rights they are especially grateful for. Once the children were done filling out their postcards, they enjoyed a field trip to the mailbox where they individually mailed their own postcard to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and even met a Postal Delivery Agent! The activity and field trip gave the children a sense of pride and independence.
