Westmount Park: Eggciting News!

Just in time for the Easter holiday, we here at Westmount Park B.A.S.E. daycare had the opportunity to see some chicks hatching out of their shell.

The experience was shared by a group of students from Grades 3 to 6. The chicks were with us for one week, after which they were returned to the farm.

When asked how they felt about what they just saw, some reactions were as followed:

“I can’t believe I just saw that happen, I really can’t believe it!”

“That was really gross.”

“Is it supposed to look like that?”

“I wish I could see that again in slow motion.”

This is the second year we have been able to share in this activity thanks to CPE Narnia who allowed us to house the chicks for them.
