St. Dorothy: Science Week Fun

Science week was a great hit with the pre-k children at St. Dorothy School.  From January 29 to February 2, 2018,  we did two different experiments daily. From exploding volcanos to jelly bean rainbows the students became my curious scientists.  Some quotes from the children when asked what they loved about science were:

“I love the mess explosions make!”

“Science makes you smart.”

“Can we eat those jelly beans?”

A simple experiment like placing jellybeans around a bowl and watching what happens as you pour water in the middle of the bowl kept them so intrigued and amazed that they spoke about it for days!!
