With the B.A.S.E. Daycare Food Revolution Day Celebration coming up later this month, we thought we’d give you a little taste of the cooking that goes on in our daycares!
On a frigid Friday in March, B.A.S.E. Daycare students at Parkdale Elementary School warmed up with a culinary trip to Mexico. A small group of students got to cook and eat a delicious vegetarian chili on rice, roasted elote (corn) rolled in mayonnaise and cheese and a garlicky pico de gallo salsa. While the chili simmered, students played a game of food-themed jeopardy before feasting on the fruits of their labour! Check out this video documenting their colourful and yummy pedagogical day.
