Carlyle: Art Class Portfolio Making

Kira, Carlyle Pre-K B.A.S.E. Daycare student

photoToday in Art Class, we learned how to make a portfolio! Ms. Noriko explained to us what a portfolio is. She told us that we were going to each make one so that we could keep all of the artwork we create every week all together.

She let us choose big coloured sheets of paper. “First you’re going to write your name on one side! For the other side of paper, I’d like to get to know you more, so if you can, you can try drawing your family, friends, and anything you like, or shapes and lines that we learned in the past weeks,” she said.

I drew lots of hearts and a house. When we finished drawing, Ms. Noriko helped us close our portfolios with a staple. Now we have our own portfolio and we can’t wait to put our new art pieces inside!
