Honoré Mercier: Daycare Activity Schedule

By Michael Viselli and Jason Iavenditti, Grade 4

Daycare Educator Ms. Delia and her Grade 4 students participate in a Gardening Club on Tuesday.

At Honoré Mercier Elementary School,   there is an activity schedule for the daycare children. The Grade 4 students  follow the schedule below.

On Mondays, we get to use the computers.  There  are  different  games we can log on to and we have lots of fun playing with them.

On Tuesdays, we have special activity in the daycare room.  For example, we had the Cooking Club for 10 weeks. It was lots of fun learning how to cook.  We also chopped and peeled vegetables and made our own individual pizza dough.

Students recently planted seeds to offer their mother a beautiful plant for Mother's Day.

Now, on Tuesdays, we play board games or table soccer. We also had a dance– a- thon and played mirrors.

Next, we will be doing the Gardening Club. We will be planting seeds to grow a plant for Mother’s Day.

Our daycare has sport activities such as soccer, hockey, pin dodge ball and soccer baseball. These games are lots of fun because they are challenging and cool and everyone gets to play. Different grade levels play on different days. Grade  4  plays  in the gym every Wednesday and Friday.

Every Thursday we have arts and crafts. We just finished our Valentine’s Day cards  and   gift bags to bring home for our parents.

We hope you could come here and have fun with us!
